Developed to handle the power and torque of Big Inch / High-Performance engines on the streets today. This Carbonite clutch kit features an extra friction plate and steel drive plate, which increases the clutch area for greater holding. The friction plates are lined with 3M carbon based material, which is capable of widthstanding higher temperatures, offers a higher coefficient of friction than anything else available today. The steel drive plates are coated with melonite nitrite (as also used on valve stems, with excellent results. These black Kolene Melonite coated drive plates will improve performance, provide a better engagement, longer life and cooler running.
