ThunderMax EFI throttle bodies, manifold and High Flow air cleaner assemblies provide the big airflow required for larger performance engines. These oversize CNC-machined castings replace the factory designs used on Delphi®-equipped 2006 and later models, and are designed to accept the factory electronic components so assembly is a snap. The ThunderMax High Flow air cleaner includes a beautifully CNC-machined billet back plate, a 2 3/4″ (7cm) deep high flow filter, breather plumbing and heavy-duty support brackets. An 8″ (203mm) diameter air cleaner cover must be ordered separately. Throttle body and manifold are a 1-piece unit construction and require the special ThunderMax air cleaner. They are designed for cable throttle models and do not work with the so called “Fly-By-Wire” throttle system as introduced in 2008 on Touring and also used on selected CVO Dyna and Softail, as well as on all Softail 2016 and later. Kits are listed for stock and most popular stroked High Performance engines and feature oversize 1.780″ (45.2mm) intake ports. Kits for other cylinder lengths are available upon Special Order.
