These one piece stretched smooth top gas tanks will give your Softail the long, extra slippery stretched look and flowing lines which is very popular with today’s top Custom bike builders. These tanks are made by welding a 2 inch extension to our stretched tanks making them in total 4 inch (10 cm) longer than stock. The extra stretch provides that special slim look. The rear of the tank has a cut out to match with most narrow seats, such as our Silhouette seats. Fits Softail models 1984 thru 1999. Tanks are available with four different cap styles and hold approx. 4.2 gallon of fuel (15,9L.).

GAS TANKS The zinc-chromate primer finish on some of our tanks is provided for the protection of the tanks during shipment and storage. It is not recommended as a primer finish for paint applications without proper surface preparation. As with any fuel tank, particularly one where custom paint is to be applied, all tanks must be pressure tested, then cleaned with tank cleaner and sealed with tank sealer before painting, to protect the final finish and prevent internal rust during winter storage. Fuel capacity is measured with tank in upright position, angle of parked bike will determine actual capacity of the fuel tank.
