These gas caps have a unique ratchet action to prevent over tightening and come complete with a paint protector and locking tool with key ring. The right hand side cap is fitted with an EPA check valve, which can be removed for service or other applications. Made from solid billet aluminum with a show chrome finish. “Essential” gas caps fit all models with screw-in style gas caps 1982-2017, as well as all Zodiac gas tanks with screw type filler neck. Available as sets of left and right, as well as single gas caps for use on single-cap gas tanks, such as used on Sportster models. Pointed or Domed style.

Note: Screw-in style gas caps In 2018 “The Factory” made a change in the gas cap bung and thread pitch. This change also applies to OEM replacement fuel tanks for earlier models supplied from early 2018 onwards. Gas caps listed as for “through early 2018” do NOT fit fuel tanks that are marked R090 or R091 as shown in the picture.
