To clean the filter, simply unscrew the top nut, remove ball bearing, spring, and 2800 gauss center/bypass magnet, wipe down the housing and components with a microfiber cloth, reassemble components and reinstall filter. Performance Magnetic Oil Filter fits Evolution Sportster, Evolution Big Twin, Twin Cam, and Milwaukee Eight engines.
Note: On Evolution models check oil routing to and from filter and make sure oil flows in  the correct direction and doesn’t get blocked against the wrong side of the pressure relief valve.
