These Silicon Carbide composite hones are ideal for finishing reamed valve guides and cleaning up used guides. Using a ball hone after reaming creates a uniform surface free of irregularities, which improves surface contact and reduces the risk of galling or seizure. Not suitable for C630 Bronze or Ampco-45 valve guides.
