Running a Big Inch High Horsepower engine together with a 1 1/8" or 1 1/2" belt may give trouble. If you want a sure way to safely transport all that power to the rear wheel the way to go is the 2" final beltdrive system from Primo Belt Drive Systems. The 2" wide 65 tooth rear pulley has a solid design and machined out of aluminum and has a 2" inner diameter. Transmission pulley has 32 tooth and is also machined from aluminum. The 132 tooth belt is an HTD type polychain and is manu-factured by Gates. Capable of handling more power the kit provides you a better ride and a more comfortable feeling. Due to the extra width of the pulleys the 2" belt drive system must be used with extended mainshaft and primary off-set). The off-set required depend on the width of the rim/tire combination used (off-set is required even when stock rim width is used). It may also be required to install a wider swing arm. On Right Side Drive Transmissions the use of an actuator spacer and extended clutch pushrod is a must. Fits 5-Speed and aftermarket 6-Speed models. Does not fit 2006 and later Dyna or 2007 and later Softail and Touring. Note: For obvious reasons we strongly recommend that a craftsman or certified mechanic installs these 2" drives.
These belt drive kits out-class any other make in machining, fitment, reliability, finish and performance. Primo belt drive kits contain front pulley, rear pulley, 2″ or 3″ wide belt and the new style diaphragm spring operated Pro Clutch for smooth and positive shifting and easy operating clutch engagement. Complete kits also include Heavy-Duty aluminum motor plates, belt guard and a bearing support with installed bearing. For electric start models the starter housing assembly, starter drive extension and all necessary hardware needed for installation of your starter motor. Installation of the ZPN720504 kit on 4-speed Shovelhead models requires the separate purchase of a 1989 thru 1993 or 1994 thru 2006 style strater motor. For custom bike builders there are optional offset pulley inserts and longer pulley nuts available, these are listed in the optional and replacement parts list. Note: The “Kick start Only” kits DO NOT INCLUDE any parts for the installation of a starter motor and require fitting of a ZPN235002 kick start kit.
