High Chrome valve seats are the alternative to Powder Metal seats. They work with leaded and un-leaded fuels, gasoline diesel, ethanol and methanol. Seats are machined from solid bar stock and ground to exacting tolerances. They contain 18-22% Chromium for resistance to abrasion, corrosion and deformation and a 1-2% Nickel content, which lends to corrosion-resistance and toughness. They machine as a continuous chip.
