Near net shape forging means the crown and the valve pockets are forged into the part, whereas these are machined in most more conventional piston manufacturing processes. The designing process is more complicated, thus more expensive, but production costs are drastically reduced. This results in a lower price compared to conventionally produced pistons, but you will still get the well-known Wiseco quality. Wiseco Tracker series piston kits come complete with piston ring sets, wrist pins and circlips.
