Black “Paint Saver” gas cap set

This trick little part screws straight into any screw bung style tank from 1982-2017 Harleys as well as most aftermarket screw bung style gas tanks. The threaded 2 3/8″ (6cm) diameter outer bung is flush mounted in the tank and works perfectly as a paint saver. The small, only 1 1/2″ (3.8cm) diameter inner gas cap is opened and closed with the included key. Sold as vented cap only or in sets with a vented and a non vented cap. Gas caps are made of aluminum with a perfect chrome or black finish.

Note: Screw-in style gas caps In 2018 “The Factory” made a change in the gas cap bung and thread pitch. This change also applies to OEM replacement fuel tanks for earlier models supplied from early 2018 onwards. Gas caps listed as for “through early 2018” do NOT fit fuel tanks that are marked R090 or R091 as shown in the picture.
