Raw steel gas tank with single right side bung for stock style screw-in style gas cap that will give your bike a stretched look. Bolts on like the original and takes the stock fuel pump. Tank has no provision for the fuel level gauge nor dash panel. Tank has 5.0 Gallons (18.9 Liter) capacity, is 24″ (61cm) long, 15″ (38cm) wide and 8″ (20cm) high. Carefully check the tank for fitment on the motorcycle and test-fit fuel line, fuel pump and gas cap before painting. Do not grind or sand the seams or joints. It is also suggested to pressure test and use a tank cleaner, tank conditioner and tank sealer to help stop leaks and prevent corrosion.

GAS TANKS The zinc-chromate primer finish on some of our tanks is provided for the protection of the tanks during shipment and storage. It is not recommended as a primer finish for paint applications without proper surface preparation. As with any fuel tank, particularly one where custom paint is to be applied, all tanks must be pressure tested, then cleaned with tank cleaner and sealed with tank sealer before painting, to protect the final finish and prevent internal rust during winter storage. Fuel capacity is measured with tank in upright position, angle of parked bike will determine actual capacity of the fuel tank.
