They raise the front of the bike to change the looks of the bike and increase ground clearance. The increase of the front fork length is adjustable from 40-50mm. Cartridge kits also have external 10-step adjustable spring preload, 20-step adjustable rebound damping and 20-step adjustable compression damping to fine-tune your front end to body weight and riding style.
