For the people who need lots of reliable starting power. Compu-Fire developed “Gen III” starter motors with lots of cranking power that will easily starts any motor big or small. The starter motor’s extra power is gained by the use of Neodymium Rare Earth permanent Magnets thus this starter motor no longer uses field coils. This reduces the amperage draw from the battery drastically. In combination with the 6:1 gear ratio, it uses only 175 Amps and will start any engine. Another strong point is: there is no need to switch for a larger size battery if a Big Inch motor is used. This smooth polished billet with chrome finish starter is the only one available with true center shaft alignment through the use of 3 planetary gears. The special High Speed version is strongly recommended for pre-2007 Fuel Injected models with stock engine.
