Description

CAN-bus interface “The Switchbox”, CAN-bus switchbox F*ST11-up FXD12-17,

The CAN-Switchbox is able to simulate the original left- and right handlebar switches, as well as the speedometer on CAN-Bus (HD-Link) equipped 2011 to present Softail, 2012 to present Dyna and 2014 to present Sportster and Touring. This allows you to use aftermarket handlebar switches and push buttons and does not change the stock functions, including the hazard warning flasher and the front running lights as used on domestic US models. The CAN Switchbox measures only 2.36″x1.96″x0.39″ (60x50x10mm), making it small enough to fit it just behind the steering stem, which is close to the stock handlebar control module connectors. Connecting the CAN Switchbox is not very difficult when you make sure that you are familiar with the wiring diagram. One side of all push-buttons and switches has to be connected to ground and the other side has to be connected to the CAN Switchbox. The CAN Switchbox also allows you to change to an aftermarket speedometer without getting any error messages. The CAN-Switchbox has 12 inputs, on each you can connect one push-button. The CAN Switchbox also has 4 Outputs for the front flash lights and the front running lights (from almost 0 up to 32 Watt, so including any aftermarket LED turn signals). All information is send from the CAN Switchbox to the stock Electronic Control Module, just as with the stock handlebar controls.
